Service description

Redirectdepth is a redirect-chain inspection tool. It accepts a URL from you and performs an HTTP request to follow the redirect chain, reporting each hop's status code, destination, and URL-level changes. The tool does not modify any configuration on your servers.

No accounts or stored data

Redirectdepth does not offer user accounts, authentication, or persistent storage. Every redirect check is ephemeral — the URL you submit is processed and the result is returned to your browser. No history, saved checks, or user data are retained server-side.

Acceptable use

You may use Redirectdepth to inspect any public URL. You agree not to use the service to:

• Probe internal-only or private network hosts that you do not own or have permission to test
• Send excessive requests that would constitute a denial-of-service attack on any server
• Circumvent access controls or authentication mechanisms

Service limitations

The tool follows HTTP redirect chains using the HEAD method. Key limitations:

• The free tier follows up to 20 redirects per check
• The tool cannot reach hosts behind Cloudflare's own network — those hosts report as unreachable
• Some servers may respond differently to HEAD than GET, though redirect behavior is identical per HTTP spec
• The tool counts hops and reports URL changes — it does not measure real user latency

Billing and payments

Billing applies only to the Pro plan. The Free plan has no cost and no payment information is required.

Subscription fee

The Pro plan is $9 per month, billed monthly in advance. Payment is due at the start of each billing period. A subscription continues until cancelled.

What you are paying for

Pro includes everything in Free plus: bulk URL checking (up to 10 URLs per request), export of results as CSV or JSON, extended trace depth (up to 50 hops per chain), and any features designated as Pro in the future (such as priority support when that becomes available).

Failed payments

If a recurring payment fails (e.g. card declined, expired), we will retry the charge automatically up to 3 times over 7 days. If all retries fail, access to Pro features will be suspended until a successful payment is made. The account reverts to Free-tier access limits during the suspension. No data is deleted.

Refund policy

Because the Pro plan is billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time before the next billing date, payments are non-refundable except for duplicate or erroneous charges. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact the operator (see Contact below) and we will review the charge within 30 days.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. The Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period and do not renew. No partial refunds are given for the remainder of a billing period after cancellation.

Payment processor

Payments are processed through Stripe. Redirectdepth does not see, store, or handle your full payment card details. By subscribing to Pro, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy for payment processing. Note: a payment processor is not yet connected. The checkout form on the Pricing page is a demonstration flow only — no real payment information is sent or stored, and Pro is not available for purchase until a live payment processor is connected.

These billing terms take effect when a payment processor is connected and the Pro plan becomes available for purchase. Until then, the checkout form on the Pricing page is clearly marked as a demonstration.

No warranty

Redirectdepth is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The redirect chain output is based on server responses at the time of the check and may not reflect all possible chains (a server may conditionally redirect based on User-Agent, cookies, or IP).

Liability

In no event shall the operator of Redirectdepth be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from your use of the service.

Governing law and legal entity

No legal entity has been registered for this business yet. The operator will supply the entity name, address, and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone. Until then, these terms are a statement of the service's intended operation, not a legally binding contract between named parties.

Changes

We may revise these terms at any time. Changes take effect when the updated terms are published at this URL. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
